Pfizer Employees Lift Spirits Of Cancer Patients
Pfizer employees recently organized a day of fun for young cancer patients of the UST Hospital, one of the hospitals where Pfizer supports the Kythe Child Life Program. The program, established by the Kythe Foundation, helps children afflicted with cancer and their families cope with the challenges brought about by the disease.

The kids visited the Pfizer head office in Makati, courtesy of Victory Liner, where they made friends with the Pfizer employees and participated in games. They also got to meet Pfizer's President and Country Manager, Gerry Bacarro. After the office tour, they trekked to Star City where they were treated to exciting rides and several circus acts. They also received free meals and loot bags from McDonald's.
"This partnership with Kythe is one of the focal points of Pfizer's community thrust and represents our long-standing commitment to serving the communities where we live and work," said Bacarro. "The smiles generated among the cancer-stricken children are truly priceless".
One Pfizer volunteer commented: "This activity is indeed very rewarding. I may have spent the whole day with the kids but seeing the joy in the faces of the children was much greater gift in return."
