St. Luke's Heart Institute Programs
 Living up to its commitment of fostering partnership with the medical community, Pfizer Inc., enjoins St Luke's Medical Center - Heart Institute in celebrating its 15th Year Anniversary. The millennium theme being "Current Concepts in Cardiology: Focus on Primary Care." Various activities have been organized for the whole duration of the celebration. To begin with, the annual HB Golf Cup will be held at Canlubang Golf and Country Club on August 8 with tee off time at 6 am. On August 5, everybody is invited to take part in the exciting fun run at the hospital lobby. Immediately following this activity is the Happy Fiesta at 8 am. Certainly, this is something to look forward to because of the many surprises that await all participants. Opening ceremony is on August 6. On the same day, the HI fellows will be presenting their individual research papers.
Part of the celebration is to provide a Free Clinic Outreach Program on August 7, which features free cholesterol testing, ECG, lay fora and distribution of starter packs to patients who will be diagnosed as having cardiovascular and other related problems. Visitors may also come and visit the booth exhibit of different participants (including Pfizer) during the Postgraduate Course on August 8-10 at the 14th floor, South Towers, Cathedral Heights Bldg. Complex. In addition, a luncheon symposium on August 9 will be presented entitled, "NCEP III Guidelines - What's New?" with Dr. Erlyn Demere as guest speaker and Dr. Ricardo Fernando as reactor. The extraordinary celebration will conclude with a fellowship on August 10 at Manila Galleria Suites.
