Dr. Benny Barbas, a cardiologist at Perpetual Succour Hospital, did a lecture on "Managing Stress in the Workplace". During the lecture, factors such as proper diet, exercise, sleeping habits were discussed and how these factors affect work. Employees had the opportunity to ask questions about various illnesses and diseases particularly the dangers of high cholesterol and cardiovascular diseases. Tips on how to keep fit in one's workstation were also given out.
Among the free medical tests offered by the Workplace Wellness Program were blood pressure monitoring, cholesterol screening and ECG tests, as well as diagnostics tests and consultations on stress, erectile dysfunction, sleep disorder, and depression. The program has been implemented in private corporations, schools, government institutions and media organizations.
